Dan began his career as a Chartered Accountant in Ottawa, Ontario working for the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. He is a finance executive with international experience in public companies, private equity and closely held businesses. His accomplishments include organizational restructuring, financial and strategic planning and operational improvements through a team approach. He is a hands-on strategist with a commitment to maximizing efficiency and profitability while maintaining business integrity and sustainability. Dan has served dozens of companies ranging in size from $1 million to $4 billion in revenue, each with unique challenges and solutions. He has held senior finance positions with SSAB Swedish Steel Americas, Browning Ferris Industries, BOC Edwards Freeze Drying and Uniform Printing & Supply and since 2011, has guided multiple business owners with growth and transition services.
Dan is a proud graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Law. Prior to his career in business, Dan was a professional hockey player in the New York Rangers organization. As a native of Quebec and Ontario, Canada he is fluent in French and English.
